Good health is like a precious gift. Without regular care, it can lead to illnesses and serious diseases that are difficult to treat. This is especially true if there are hereditary diseases in the family, such as diabetes, heart disease, or high blood pressure. Combined with changing environments and lifestyles, eating habits, stress, smoking, and drinking alcohol, the risk of various diseases increases.
Health check-ups are not just about blood tests or X-rays. The most important part of a health check-up is seeing a doctor to detect abnormalities before symptoms appear or before the disease progresses. Early treatment of diseases is more effective.
Preparation Before Health Check-up
- Fast for at least 8-12 hours (you can drink water in normal amounts).
- Fast from food and water for at least 6 hours if undergoing an ultrasound.
- Wear clothing that allows easy access to the arm for blood tests.
- Get enough sleep, at least 6-8 hours.
- If undergoing stool examination (Stool Examination, Stool Occult Blood), avoid eating meat, animal blood products, and vitamin C for at least 3 days.
- Pregnant women or those who suspect they are pregnant should avoid X-rays or mammograms.
- For women undergoing internal examinations or cervical cancer screenings, it should be done at least 7 days after the last day of menstruation.
Note
- For this program, there is no need to fast from food and water before the check-up.
- Results will be available on the same day, except for the thalassemia test results.
