Good health is like a precious gift. Without consistent care, it can lead to illness and serious diseases that are difficult to treat—especially when there are hereditary conditions in the family, such as diabetes, heart disease, or high blood pressure. Combined with changing environments and lifestyles, eating habits, stress, smoking, and alcohol consumption, the risk of developing various diseases increases significantly.

Health checkups are not just about blood tests or X-rays. The most important part of a health checkup is seeing a doctor to detect abnormalities before symptoms appear or before the disease progresses. Early treatment is often more effective.

Preparation Before a Health Checkup

  • Fast for at least 8–12 hours (you may drink plain water in a normal amount).
  • Avoid food and water for at least 6 hours if undergoing an ultrasound.
  • Wear clothing that allows easy access to the inner elbow for blood draw.
  • Get enough sleep—at least 6–8 hours.
  • For stool tests (Stool Examination, Stool Occult Blood), avoid consuming meat, animal blood products, and vitamin C for at least 3 days.
  • Pregnant women or those who suspect they may be pregnant should avoid X-rays or mammograms.
  • For internal examinations or cervical cancer screening, women should schedule the test at least 7 days after the last day of menstruation.
