MIS-C = multiple inflammatory syndrome in children

This is a condition involving inflammation in multiple body systems that occurs after a COVID-19 infection in children.

It can develop between 1 to 30 days after a child has recovered from COVID-19.

Parents should be observant and concerned if their child becomes sick again within 1–30 days after recovering from COVID.

Symptoms may include high fever, fatigue, lethargy, reduced appetite, diarrhea, rash, red eyes, and red lips.

If left untreated, the symptoms may worsen and become life-threatening.

Children diagnosed with MIS-C require symptom-based medication and close medical supervision.

In severe cases, some children may need monitoring in the pediatric ICU.

If you suspect MIS-C, a health screening package is available >> Click here
