Pediatric Hematology Center

The Pediatric Hematology Center specializes in diagnosing and treating children with blood disorders. Common pediatric blood disorders include thalassemia-related anemia, iron-deficiency anemia, bleeding disorders such as hemophilia, low platelet counts, and blood cancers like leukemia.

Signs to look out for include bruising or petechiae (small red spots) on the skin, frequent and difficult-to-stop nosebleeds, or detecting a lump in the abdomen when the child lies down. If these symptoms are observed, it is important to consult a pediatric hematologist or blood disorder specialist for proper diagnosis and treatment.
