The Department of Surgery offers diagnostic services and surgical disease treatment, focusing on prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation under the care of an interdisciplinary professional team including surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other medical specialists such as internists. This ensures specialized surgical care, complemented by state-of-the-art, efficient, and standard medical equipment to support surgeries for various conditions such as general surgery, urological surgery, and neurosurgery.

Medical Services:

– Neurosurgical diagnostics, treatment, and surgery for brain, spinal cord, and nerve disorders.
– Urological surgery diagnostics and treatment for conditions such as bladder inflammation and urinary bladder stones.
– General surgery diagnostics and treatment through minor and major surgical procedures. Minor surgeries include subcutaneous tissue excision, nail removal, wart cauterization, abscess draining, varicose vein treatment, and diabetic wound care. Major surgeries include procedures on the stomach, intestines, appendix, hernias, liver, gallbladder, hemorrhoids, and breast cancer.
– Vascular diagnostics, catheter placement, kidney dialysis, deep vein thrombosis, and varicose veins treatment.

Medical Technology:

– Laparoscopic surgery involves small incisions of about 3-5 millimeters through the abdominal wall into the abdomen, using a small camera to view the internal organs. The surgeon operates by watching the screen instead of making a large open incision. This type of small incision surgery, known as “Minimally Invasive Surgery” (MIS), results in smaller scars, less pain, and quicker recovery, allowing patients to return to a good quality of life.
