The Department of Psychiatry examines and provides consultations for the treatment of psychiatric illnesses, stress conditions, behavioral control issues, and emotional and mental problems in both children and adults.

When should we see a psychiatrist?
There are still many misunderstandings in our society about seeing a psychiatrist. It is often viewed negatively, with the assumption that one must be mentally unstable or insane to seek help, resulting in mental health issues being left unaddressed, which can affect overall mental health. In reality, when we feel that our mental state is not normal, when we are unhappy, overly stressed, and unable to find solutions to our problems, it is advisable to consult a psychiatrist early on to seek guidance on resolving these mental issues. This can prevent us from falling into a state of mental illness and lead to a happier life.
