Early-stage patients may show no symptoms, but colon cancer can be prevented by colonoscopy. If polyps are detected early, doctors can remove them by polypectomy before cancer develops or in early cancer stages. This helps avoid major surgery and chemotherapy.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Kasidit advises that people aged 40-50 or those with symptoms or risks should have a colonoscopy every 5 years or as recommended by a doctor. Colonoscopy is the best method for colon cancer screening.
